Great news to hear that Simon Power intends to leave politics. The quicker the better for all our sakes. Mind you he is probably only responsible for ten % of whats happened to the criminal court system. The other ten per cent would be Phil Goff and the balance of 80% would be pointy-headed bureaucrats living in Wellington. What an odious bunch they are. Did a small court tour of the upper North Island recently. The wheels of justice sure turn quickly in some of our smaller centres. Such a short distance from the police station to the Court.
