The hardest part is to forgive myself for fucking up. My wife says I have got dead eyes. As John Banks says life is not easy and the measure of a persons character is how quickly they pick themselves up and keep going. A person rang me out of the blue on the train the other day and said dont worry move on and get back into it. At the end of the day I have never stopped practising the blues scale since I read it in a book I bought when I was at high school. Hound Dog Taylor said when I die I want people to say he couldnt play shit but it sure sounded good. I think I was good at advocating for people before but I believe I will be even better at it now.
