Hi and Happy New Year. 2006 was full on. Got the Supreme Court to agree with me that the Court of Appeal were wrong in R v Walsh. Supreme Court went on to amend the charges post trial. They do not have jurisdiction to do that but that is an issue for another day.District Court at Manukau accepted that pathological gambling was a mitigating factor in serious fraud against the opposition of the Serious Fraud Office who did not want a precedent in that area R v Jackson.Took the Awatere case to the Court of Appeal.Lining up to take it to the Supreme Court this year. Dealt with a case of corruption which is very rare. Got first comment on this blog thanks to Edwina.Presently waiting the outcome of the crown seeking to overturn a 347 acquittal in the High Court. Read Beyond Reasonable Doubt over the holidays.Times have not changed in little old NZ. Any way thats enough banging on from me what has everybody been up to out there.
